Some people would say that we move fairly slowly! Yes rtwadv has finally learnt how to stop and smell the roses! Well sometimes anyway! NO….The truth is rtwadv has actually figured out a formula, for productive travel. This formula has been scientifically tested within the controls of an adventuresome environment and the conclusion is…rtwadv actually needs 7 stationary days to accomplish building tasks every month. This just so happens to be a task accomplishing 10 days! Yes, I know the formula calls for 7 stationary days…you are very observant! We added 3 extra days to the formula so that we could recover from the rocking motion our bodies were involuntary performing after sailing. So, what the shell did we do????
Day 1…severe rocking…There is no stopping this…all we can do is pour another Ron;
Day 2…medium rocking…Alternating, Ron and Agua;
Day 3…minimal rocking…Totally off Ron now.
Day 4 - 10…Call our loved ones, I cannot reach my parents which is normal…lol; research possible places to perform a bike service, research and email contacts for a new front Heidenau tire for my bike; research problems with external hard drive on one computer and email possible sources; thoroughly clean bikes; repack and organize bikes; locate possible packing and shipping materials; carefully wrap and pack a box to be shipped; locate DHL and ship box; find several inexpensive accommodations with parking in Cancun; flee Isla Mujeres in a dry break of weather; check out the accommodations in Cancun to find the closest, cleanest and cheapest with parking near where the bikes are to be serviced; quickly unload bikes as it is raining again; ride over to Alecka BMW Cancun to talk to store manager; organize and discuss once again what needs to be done on the bikes, and the possibility of locating a new front Heidenau, as our efforts have lead nowhere; ride back to hotel to pick up the new rear tires we are caring to be installed along with the servicing of the bikes; ride back to Alecka BMW, meet mechanics, Jose the store manager has miraculously tracked down a tire for my bike, pay for the tire, leave the bikes at Alecka; we explain our time and expense limits to Jose, Jose kindly offers his home to us to cut accommodation expenses then drops us off at the bus stop so we can catch a bus back to our hotel; I finally get in contact with my family after leaving messages, running out of money on my phone three times and have a nice chat; work out the public bus system in Cancun, bus around and check it out…get off the bus when we see something cool; celebrate our birthdays on a Pirate Ship; catch the bus and walk to Alecka Motors to collect the bikes…they look marvelous by the way…Thanks Alecka Motors; reload the bikes and ride out of Cancun!
